Greetings! I've been working on marketing "The Knot" and wondered about something. The Goodreads author page suggests that you list writers that have influenced you. There are many who've influenced me and affected the way I see the world. Here's a short list: Octavia Butler, Margaret Atwood, P.D. James, Barbara Pym, Mark Helprin, Thomas Hardy, Ruth Rendell, and Wallace Stegner...I could go on. So what I'm wondering about is, which writer has influenced you? Whose writing do you love so much that you've re-read something they've written?

It's been a while since I've blogged. I used to write about business and social issues and found it a great way to get my thoughts organized. It was fun to share my ideas with others and to get their points of view.
But now it's time write about what I have loved all my life: books. I've written a few and have published one, and I hope to write more. Through Twin Cats Press I've just begun to market the book, which is quite a challenge. Throughout my career I worked to market all sorts of products and businesses. I'm finding that it's a lot easier to promote something you didn't create yourself than to launch your "baby" into the world.
